Post-secondary education in Agriculture, or relevant combination of education and experience

Uses remote sensing and satellite imagery and proprietary software, interprets data to create quality zone maps specific to customer fields

Contacts customers by phone and/or email to collect information based grower contract requirements, including but not limited to:

A valid Agronomy certification; CCA or 4R preferred

Uses GPS and maps to guide soil sampling plans and monitor completion.

Candidates will possess or be willing to achieve the following qualifications:

Pesticide applicator license and the ability to operate farm equipment are an asset, but not

Must have the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (i.e., heat, rain, etc.) with

Execute seed quality analysis (NIR) and liaise with lab to ensure accurate seed quality data.

Support QA/QMS in activities as required by the breeding program.

Degree or Diploma in Agriculture or related discipline .

Competent in troubleshooting farm and small plot research equipment.

A valid class 5 driver’s license.

Strong knowledge and hands on experience with high complexity, multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis are required

Knowledge and working experience with cytokines are assets

Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Prism and experience with Flowjo programs

>5 years of post-graduate work with strong background in immuno-oncology and/or immunology; industry experience is preferred

Experience with design and interpretation of immunological assays, cellular and molecular assays, and in vivo models is required for this position

PhD/MD in immuno-oncology and/or immunology

Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Eligible for membership in the provincial institute of agrologists with a future requirement to obtain accreditation.

Minimum of four years of related work experience

Previous experience working with Western Canadian crops.

Becoming an expert in Avison Young’s internal business intelligence tool and serve as a main point of contact within the office

At least 3 years of experience working in plant-microbe interactions

Experience with analytical techniques for measuring plant nutrition

Conducting lab experiments and greenhouse research project

Designing lab and greenhouse experiments

Collecting plant tissue samples and processing

Preparation of plant growth media, plant care, and data collection.
