Repair Supervisor Jobs

Complete work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching and painting.

Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled or as needed basis.

Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement.

Refurbish furniture and fixtures such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters. Paint and finish furniture and fixtures if needed.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 65 pounds without assistance and maximum of 140 pounds with assistance.

Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods, often for a minimum of 2 hours at a time.

Post-secondary education in a related field

6 years of applicable trade experience in shipbuilding, defence, manufacturing or a similar environment

Proactively anticipates / manages risks and unexpected problems to consistently deliver results

Red seal or equivalent is desirable

Participate in daily Production meetings to present and discuss information regarding job status and schedule progress

Monitoring of Operations to ensure that priorities are maintained, and deliverables are met

Experience using Craftsman Management System or similar platform;

Demonstrated time management, problem solving, critical thinking and sound judgement skills;

Supports management of shop in alignment with The Craftsman Way (TCW);

Identifies and orders parts from the management system after completing repair plan;

Reviews vehicle history in Craftsman Management System;

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered;

Experience using Craftsman Management System or similar platform;

Demonstrated time management, problem solving, critical thinking and sound judgement skills;

Supports management of shop in alignment with The Craftsman Way (TCW);

Identifies and orders parts from the management system after completing repair plan;

Reviews vehicle history in Craftsman Management System;

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered;

Have knowledge of gas turbines and/or industrial equipment, project management and repair / manufacturing techniques

Interact with broad range of suppliers, senior management and customers, both locally and internationally.

Ability to effectively communicate with peers, subordinates, supervisors and management personnel.

Manage work in accordance with project cost, timescale, and quality targets

Continuously assess and identify improvement opportunities to the repair methods, and component inspection requirements/limits.

Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

Seek out costs for any and all labour, parts etc. and establish selling price per company policies and sales management guidelines

The conception of repair requirement(s) from customers or sales force, logging the information into our CRM, Maximizer

Where necessary, coordinate communication between Sales Reps and customers regarding repair and/or service requirements

Work with project scheduler, shop, and outside contractors to schedule jobs per customer requirements and our quotation

Work with Service Centre Manager to ensure smooth workflow on shop floor

Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills

Seek out costs for any and all labour, parts etc. and establish selling price per company policies and sales management guidelines

Where necessary, coordinate communication between Sales Reps and customers regarding repair and/or service requirements

Work with project scheduler, shop, and outside contractors to schedule jobs per customer requirements and our quotation

Identify, if applicable, the deviations between the parts and the requirements of the engineering drawing;

Manage and maintain the quality record book;

Write certificates of conformity or other required certification; and

Detach parts from the airplane or parts of structures with difficult access for inspection, repair, alteration or assembly;

Identify detached parts or structural parts to be repaired, modified or assembled in accordance with parts lists and procedures in place;

Manually and/or electronically complete the appropriate forms and technical documents according to the procedures in place;
