Develops strong working relationships with Regional Operations Managers and veterinary teams to drive clinics to greater continuity, teamwork and best practices.

Supports new clinic transitions in their region along with the transitions team and the Regional Operations Manager.

Minimum of 5 years practical clinical experience in small animal medicine

Works 1-2 days in various practices in their region supporting clinic and client needs in a veterinarian capacity

Supports new grad veterinarians by creating and supporting individual mentorship plans

Evaluates practice medical equipment and takes needed steps to maximize usage as appropriate

Knowledge of occupational health and safety and disability management concepts, including return-to-work planning

Collaborate with community physicians to ensure workers' disability- and medical-management needs are being met

Evaluate medical impairments and disabilities, and share your opinions about cause, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

A minimum of five years of experience in family practice, and an interest in sports, rehabilitation, mental health, or occupational medicine

Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults

Sound knowledge of medical terminology

Post Secondary Education in a Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician program

Previous Personal Support Worker or Medical Laboratory experience is considered an asset

Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Accuro)

Experience in an EMR environment preferred

Proven knowledge of medical affairs activities including clinical trial design, management, analysis and reporting, including GCP.

Prior experience in a similar role

Excellent knowledge of appropriate national regulatory guidelines, Code of Practice and Standard Operating Procedures, combined their implementation within the business environment.

Experience in rare diseases would be an advantage – ideally in lysosomal disorders .

Experience in supporting clinical studies (phase III- IV, registries, investigator-initiated studies)

Strong organisational, problem solving, and able to collaborate and work effectively cross functional working skills

Coordinates and prepares job postings for assigned areas.

Reconciles and submits quarterly Recruitment Contingency Fund submissions.

Attends department meetings and follows up on action items as required.

Develops strong relationships with community partners, such as the Divisions of Family Practice, Healthmatch BC, and Doctors of BC.

Identifies and participates in developing, evaluating, and making continuous improvements to recruitment practices and services.

Understands, applies, and effectively communicates relevant policies and procedures (such as relocation and reimbursement) to medical staff and IH employees.

Relevant experience with solid knowledge of the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

General knowledge on drug development and clinical research in a relevant therapeutic area (minimum of three to five years).

Relevant therapeutic area background and experience (minimum of two to three years).

Previous scientific experience in customer-facing role in the healthcare industry.

Knowledge of all aspects of drug development and local regulations, including regulations of promotional materials.

Demonstrate organizational and analytical skills.
