Quality Assurance Importation Compliance Technician Jobs in Nova Scotia

Solid knowledge of pH meter and equipment calibration and experience in performing calibrations.

Certification such as HACCP, SQF Practioner, PCQI certificate is an asset.

Strong attention to details and analytical skills to identify potential quality issues.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment

Prior experience in food quality assurance or a similar role is preferred but not required.

Perform calibration and maintenance of pH meters and other testing equipment to ensure accurate measurements.

•Daily input of Work Orders into our Wine Management Software

We have an immediate opening for a

•Perform all analyses in a timely and accurate manner

•Make sure all solutions are accurate and equipment is maintained/calibrated routinely

•Organize tastings required for new blends and prepare required reports

•Maintain an accurate lab products inventory and order new products as required for the cellar

Internal and/or external auditing experience (focus: Supplier Management)

Oversight and maintenance of additional quality management systems may be assigned as determined by the QA Manager

In the absence of the QA Manager act with full authority and decision-making capacity for all QA decisions if designated

Follows GMP and regulatory requirements and ensures Quality standards are met

3 years of practical experience in a Quality function or in a leadership role within an Operations group

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and train others

Knowledge of HACCP/FSMA/SFC, food industry GMP’s, GFSI, BRC Standards, Quality, Regulatory requirements and basic food microbiology

2 to 5 years’ experience in a food safety and quality or sanitation in a manufacturing environment

Demonstrates strong collaboration skills and ability to contribute to a team environment

Functionally competent in MS Office programs in particular Excel previous experience with SAP is an asset

·Minimum 3 years’ experience as a quality management role.

·Excellent time management and coordination skills.

·When required, attend client quality management meetings.

·Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.

·Communicate with management for quality improvements.

·Quality Management certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution or equivalent.
