• Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation considered an asset.

• Consideration may be given to equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience with public sector procurement requirements and related case law.

• Manages the process for procuring goods and services for the Board.

• Manages and retains accurate and complete procurement records.

• Develops and maintains the technical knowledge required for the effective operation of the purchase order system.

Supply Chain Management Diploma, Certification, or minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service.

Minimum of 2 years of significant experience in supervision

Knowledge of procurement principles and practices

Knowledge of University procurement policies and procedures, and of procurement legislation

Knowledge of tax and customs legislation and regulations

Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

Combination of education and experience may be considered

Strong decision making capabilities including sound judgement and critical thinking skills

Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel

Manage and evaluate employee performance against specified targets and goals.

Develop, implement, and manage cost savings ideas

·Fully support the Purchasing Manager with internal and external purchase order and sourcing related tasks and communications

·Ability to stay disciplined while working from home

·Strong communication and coordination skills

Purchasing & Supply Chain Associate

·Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business or other relevant fields

·Mastering English writing, reading and speaking like an expert (Mandarin is a plus but not required)

Planning, Negotiation and Contract Management: Experience planning, negotiating, and managing contracts within a procurement framework.

Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects and delivering measurable results.
