10+ years of hands on Project Management Experience (working on medium to-high complexity initiatives).

Must have hands on experience in Portfolio Management and should handle Project Co-Ordination, Reporting, Decks, Minutes, Plans etc.

Experience working in a dependent multi-agile team environment.

Excellent organization and time management skills

Ensures compliance with and advocates for enterprise project management practices

Identifies and addresses any change management issues or concerns that stem from the changes being implemented

Collects and consolidates project status updates into the portfolio tracking tool from project managers and/or business leads

Manages small projects or phases of larger projects; keeps stakeholders informed and ensures target deadlines are met

Manages strategy updates through corporate newsletter and employee intranet

Experience with Element Management or Network Management systems would be and asset.

Motivated self-starter with excellent time-management skills and an ability to work from broad guidelines with minimal direction.

Knowledge and experience with personal computers, Microsoft office suite of software.

Work with Quality Assurance, Design, Product Management, Technical Publications, and Training to provide Customer feedback.

2-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Provide system level post-sales support for CIENA’s Customer base. This includes testing, trouble shooting and remote technical support for CIENA products.
