Program and Project Analyst
Health and Social Services
This posting is to fill a full time one (1) year term position.
Please note the eligibility list may be used to hire future full-time and part-time permanent, term, AOC and casual positions.

Seize this opportunity to support the Department of Health and Social Services to plan, develop and analyze programs and services.
We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual with exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills for the role of Program and Project Analyst.
You Will
  • Support the directors, managers and staff of Social Services Division and Insured Health in assessing the impact of programs and services;
  • Work closely with program delivery supervisors and frontline staff to ensure programs are delivered in compliance with policy and legislation;
  • Lead and implement quality improvement, performance monitoring evaluation and project management functions; and
  • Measure the achievement of program goals, and support evidence-based decisions on resource allocations to support the achievement of mandates and objectives;
  • Perform analysis of data, using qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client groups, including but not limited to, senior management, policy branch, and staff, and First Nations management and staff;

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualifications.   • Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative data, and making recommendations to senior management
  • Post-secondary degree in a Health or Social Science field with a quality improvement, evaluation or research focus.
  • Experience designing and implementing data collection protocols, quality improvement programs, and performing detailed analyses under time pressure
  • Experience building and maintaining working relationships, and working with diverse groups
  • Experience in identifying and resolving data quality issues, evaluating programs and producing plain-language reports
  • Experience working in a social services program sector would be an asset
Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work well independently and under pressure
  • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • The ability to work effectively with quality improvement and evaluation frameworks and metrics
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Visio, Outlook, Excel, Access)
  • The ability to keep accurate records

Conditions of Employment: WHMIS 2015, Class 5 drivers license
