Project Financial Control Analyst Jobs

Develop communication and change management plans to ensure successful deployment and implementation of changes throughout the whole Bombardier community;

Standardize and optimize processes (tail swaps, model mix conversions, etc.) related to Bombardier Aviation Customer Skyline Management;

Establish governances, escalate to the appropriate management level when required and provide visibility to senior management;

You have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in the aerospace industry or similar;

You have a good knowledge of Bombardier manufacturing processes;

You have business acumen and a general knowledge of financial principles;

Reviewing cost reports to ensure that expenses are within budget guidelines

Analyzing project schedules to identify delays or problems that may occur in the future

Reviewing reports from key team members to ensure that they contain accurate information about project status

Recommending changes to project objectives or strategies to improve performance

Coordinating with clients or customers to identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the project

Analyzing the financial status of projects to identify areas where costs could be reduced or where additional funding may be required

• Knowledge and experience with project and portfolio management processes, policies and principles

• Minimum Qualifications 2 year of Project Support experience

• Support Vendors on process and technology requirements

• Proven knowledge of Cost Controlling methods

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Cost reports and forecast experience

• Project management fundamentals or project financial analysis experience

• Finance experience, particularly in multi-functional project environments

• Ability to interface with senior management and customers

• Manages customer invoicing and tracking of billing milestones, as well as follows receivables collection

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a project environment or financial administration

• Project financial analysis experience

Prepares client invoicing, manages accounts receivable and revenue, and reviews project cash flow projection on a monthly basis

Displays first-rate customer service skills - willing to help with a positive attitude when/where needed, and be helped with gratitude

0 - 5 years of financial/data analysis experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or an equivalent degree

Basic working knowledge of accounting, including: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax

Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel

What You Need To Know

Use CA-PPM to manage funding

5+ years of experience working on a project with multiple initiatives

5+ years of experience as a business analyst or project control officer

2-3 years of experience in developing business artifacts in budget planning (business case, project charter, change request, rate log)

3+ years of experience in an Agile environment

Experience with JIRA, Confluence, MS Office

What You Need To Know

Intermediate knowledge of work orders, estimating cost including Work cost structure creation, management, and strategy

Support purchase requests with required backup, vendor quotes, and in alignment with supply chain management standards

Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all finance policies, ensuring that spending is in line with capital and/or expense guidelines

Project management courses or certificates are an asset

SAP skills and SAP visualization are needed. Knowledge of SAP Project system is required.

Prepare preliminary monthly reporting on incurred cost and schedule forecast for Project (and/or) execution Manager’s review and approval

Support Project Finance Controller and Finance Reporting Manager on continuous improvement initiatives.

Understand compliance requirements for various projects and financially analyze prospective projects.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant functional experience (experience in a project / construction / engineering firm considered an asset)

Very good command of Excel and sustained experience with ERP and Business Intelligence tools (i.e Power Bi).
