Overview A Procurement Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Procurement Department. They are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, including ordering supplies, tracking orders, and managing vendor relationships. Detailed Job Description The Procurement Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Procurement Department. This includes ordering supplies, tracking orders, and managing vendor relationships. The Procurement Assistant is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of all purchases and ensuring that all orders are delivered on time. Additionally, the Procurement Assistant is responsible for researching and evaluating potential vendors and negotiating contracts. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of procurement processes and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• At least two years of experience in a procurement role
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
