Principal Applications Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Must have strong project management skills and experience in leading projects.

Minimum 15-years of relevant mechanical engineering experience in an engineering or project management role with a technical firm.

Solid client relationship management experience.

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, decision-making, and time management skills.

Knowledge, experience, and recognition in the mining industry is a definite asset.

Extensive computer knowledge in industry applications, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, MicroStation and other specialized mechanical design platforms.

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills with working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs.

Generate budgetary proposals, process designs, piping and instrumentation designs, and general arrangement drawings.

Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, order packages, and forecasting.

Demonstrated expertise with the use of AutoCAD and other standard scientific and engineering software and applications.

Ability to work and complete tasks independently, make decisions and take responsibility for technical matters.

Must be able to attend industrial sites and observe all applicable safety regulations.

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

3-5 years of relevant work experience

Focus Area: Provide technical support and expertise for the outside sales force, consultants and customers

Focus Area: Prepare product quotations and bids for large mining equipment packages

Bachelors degree; Mechanical Engineering preferred

Member or eligible to become a member of a Professional Engineering Association, having attained or working towards P Eng designation
