Practical Nursing Teaching Assistant Jobs in Nova Scotia

Be empathetic with good listening skills and have good problem-solving abilities.

Help learners understand lessons and educational activity delivered by the teacher. 

Have a passion for learning and excellent interpersonal skills.

Hold a qualification in health and social care, which is preferable.

Support the social and emotional needs of children and young people.

Encourage pupil participation in whole-School life, including extra-curricular activities.

Ideally, you have related experience in delivery of educational programs or training to adults.

You have knowledge and experience in applying WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety and occupation-specific safety practices.

You are known for your superior interpersonal skills and can manage interpersonal relationships and issues effectively

You have a minimum of five years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational experience in the nursing field.

Occupational experience that includes oncology and/or palliative care experience would be considered an asset.

You have demonstrated experience liaising with business and industry in your field.
