Teaching Assistant at RoboThink Northwest Toronto

RoboThink is looking for energetic, patient, and friendly teaching assistants to lead kids in having fun while learning!

We are a STEM edu-tainment company that introduces children in grades K-8 to robotics and coding concepts through the use of our patented robot building blocks and easy-to-use coding software. We’re looking to expand our company with smart, creative, and fun instructors to join our team!

Qualifications:

• Energetic and passionate about working with/educating K-8 children

• Will be available for after-school enrichment programs, weekend programs and/or Summer Camps

• Willing to learn how to use technology and robotics and be proficient at it

• Prior experience working with children, or coaching sports or recreation programs in a learning environment is preferred

• Must have a car and/or be able to travel to running classes in Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Aurora, King City, Caledon, and/or Burlington

Prior knowledge of robotics/coding is NOT necessary. We are more than happy to provide training to candidates who do not have a robotics/coding background.

:

• Familiarize oneself with RoboThink hardware and course materials, carefully study the teacher training manual, classroom procedures, and policies

• Assist STEM Teacher with using RoboThink materials to conduct classes – pay attention to individual students to help them with the learning process and organize fun games in class

• Provide feedback and concerns back to RoboThink's management team

• Administrative tasks such as organizing curriculum binders and printouts

• Assist in organizing, clean up and packing away of classroom materials for transport to other locations or back to storage
