Sports Graduate TA

Salary : £76-£100 per day

Location: Hartlepool

• Are you a volunteer sports coach with good all-round ability and fancy a change?
• Do you have experience as a Sports Coach and would like to use your skills to enhance the education experience of young people in your area?

GSL Education is currently looking for motivated and committed individuals to work in long-term placements based in a fantastic Hartlepool setting .

This setting caters for pupils from age 6-16. The pupils have additional needs around anxiety, behaviour and mental health barriers. There are a significant number of learners with moderate ASD. The setting is organized and pro-active with a strong focus on promoting great behaviour, conduct and kindness. You will work 1:1 or across class, assisting with academic and activity-based learning. You will be guided by a highly skilled team of teachers and other support personnel.

We offer an 8.45-2.45 or a 8.30-4.30pm Shift pattern - Monday to Friday. These positions are long term with a strong likelihood of going permanent for the right candidate. We have roles here starting now and in September

These roles will give you unrivalled hands-on experience and enable you to use all the skills you have already gained. The setting is friendly and supportive and offers regular CPD training to all staff. It’s easy to reach by car and public transport .

The Successful Candidate

• Will be kind, calm and patient – able to build rapport quickly
• Will have relevant experience working with young people
• Will be a team player that is willing to contribute to the overall success of the school
• Will be eager to learn
• Will hold a Sports related Degree OR
• Will have knowledge or experience of supporting people with additional needs include behaviour, ASC, SEMH and ADHD or the desire to gain more experience in these areas
• Will hold an Enhanced Child Only DBS registered with the update service or be prepared to apply for a new one
• Will set high standards and stretch the ability of all pupils
