Plc Control Engineer Jobs in Ontario

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Ability to work remotely and commute to customers' sites as needed (across GTA)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related majors.

Hands-On experience with Java programming language

Experience with Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical devices in industrial machines.

Prepare functional descriptions of the process using a Control Narrative and related documents.

•Work within all Dana EHS and Quality requirements

•Participate in developing reliable and efficient processes for new product or new application introductions as required

•Install and set-up various vision system components such as bar code scanners and inspection cameras

•Maintain machine automation back-up files

•Design and construct new electric circuits and electronic device integration

•Maintain and ensure accuracy of electrical drawings and code

Must have a minimum of 2-3 years related electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.

Certification as an Industrial Electrician (442A) or as a Construction Electrician (309A) and strong background in PLC maintenance.

Previous crane, conveyor, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance experience is a definite asset.

Possesses skill in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, especially electrical drawing.

Repair critical electrical equipment, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgrades

Repair or replace control devices such as switches, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, motor starts, thermocouples etc. as needed

Effective planning, project management, and problem-solving skills

Lead or participate in development or enhancement to design management and engineering change control programs and procedures

Control projects in an economical and timely manner ensuring adherence to quality control requirements

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of full-time experience

Experience with PLC automation and networks

Excellent written and oral communication skills including strong presentation and analytical skills
