Must be a graduate of a recognized School of Social Work with a minimum of a Bachelor of Social Work degree.

Membership in Manitoba College of Social Workers. is preferred.

Possess the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff and students.

Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Social Worker in a clinical setting;

Strong knowledge base for mental health issues;

Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Good communication and interpersonal skills;

French Language skills will be considered an asset;

Coordinate, plan and participate in annual and new admission interdisciplinary team care conferences for residents;

Management and distribution of resident care supplies

Offer input in the development of resident plans of care and quality improvement initiatives

Completed PSW certification/nursing degree or currently enrolled in a nursing program

Additional education related to Dementia and Palliative Care an asset

Provide residents with high quality personal care assistance with grooming, hygiene, toileting, bathing, mobility, feeding assistance, and restorative nursing care programs.

Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and other staff members
