Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatment and related bedside care to resident

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) preferred

Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation from a community college or university, and or experience working in a Recreation setting required

Demonstrated experience in designing, planning, executing, and evaluating recreational activities and therapeutic programs for Persons who use drugs.

Lived experience of drug use and/or experience in advocacy for persons who use drugs considered assets

A CDHO Registration (Registered Dental Hygienist).

General or Specialty certificate of registration from the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario

Demonstrated understanding and ability to apply the principles of health promotion, disease / injury prevention, and determinants of health

Understanding of and sensitivity to issues impacting on client populations in the inner city

Input personal care provided into the health management software

Under the direction of the Health & Wellness Manager, the Personal Support Worker will assist residents with personal care

Respond to Resident care emergencies

Minimum of two (2) years in Clerical, client service, education;

Excellent communication skills ( verbal and written);

Three (3) year diploma / degree or equivalent in Business, Recreation;

This position is paid at Payband 10

This position is eligible for hybrid work in conjunction with the College's
