Packaging Engineer Manager Jobs in Nova Scotia

Experience operating within a quality management system.

Experience within the medical device industry and knowledge of FDA regulations and industry standards is considered an asset.

Developing and supporting equipment qualification and process validation, as needed.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging and/or process engineering.

Working knowledge of selection and implementation of packaging components, systems, and testing equipment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of SolidWorks platform and experience with SolidWorks Routing and Weldments modules.

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Establish design and operating conditions for equipment to be used in refrigeration systems.

• Confirm component selections: pumps, compressors, motors, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, control valves.

• Design routes and piping to refrigeration standards while permitting ease of manufacturing/servicing.

· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory or management type role

· Report out to container management team on any packaging/packaging material issues

· Automotive packaging experience and knowledge of CAD is an asset

· Manage a team of corporate packaging engineers, located at various facilities

· College diploma in packaging program with a minimum of five (5) years related experience

· Computer literacy along with strong organizational and communication skills is required
