· Manage and develop the training and qualification program.

· 3-5 years Steel/Heavy Industrial related maintenance experience preferred.

· Prior supervisory experience is an asset.

Minimum three (3) years’ experience in municipal facilities operations and working with a Computerized Work Management System.

Knowledge of the Region’s purchasing bylaw procedures and requirements for contracting services. 

Demonstrated knowledge of applicable legislation, Acts, and industry standards. 

Knowledge of basic chemistry, environmental sampling methodologies, groundwater servicing, water supply operating procedures, water and wastewater treatment processes and quality standards.

Monitors contracted work with contractors and consultants during routine inspection, testing and maintenance.

Assists in technical and compliance related issues. 

Experience with the Metrolinx, Asset Lifecycle Management Standards, preferred.

Develops and maintains the Asset Management and Configuration Management Plan.

Liaise with project design groups, quality, project management and other project teams in the context of Operations and Maintenance.

Provides all required Asset-related information and analysis and manages inquiries from O&M-internal and external sources.

Validating that the standard has all the fields and capabilities to house RAMS-related information and data for all assets.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of railroad systems and all related components.

Proficiency with Enterprise Asset Management Systems (SAP or similar) for work order generation, purchase requisitioning and financial reporting

Knowledge of general procurement compliance requirements and audit protocols (e.g. SOX Compliance or similar)

Experience with use of payroll programs such as Time Capture and SAP.

One year logistical program or acceptable equivalent

Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Experience on farm type tractor or other grounds maintenance/ snow removal equipment considered an asset

3 months demonstrated hands-on related experience in a commercial or industrial setting

Capable and willing to learn new skills and to participate in on-the-job training in order to work on specialized equipment

Knowledge of required tools, equipment, and materials, and ability to use them effectively.

Travel to other sites may be required.
