Network Infrastructure Support Technician Jobs in British Columbia

Have relevant academic qualifications in the field or a combination of experience and basic certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+.

2-3 years’ experience as a Network Technician.

Hands-on experience with sophisticated networks, hardware, and peripherals.

Configures, tests, installs and maintains network equipment, servers, PCs, terminals, printers and interfaced instruments, telephones and telephone network equipment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Manage a diverse workload as well as manage contractor activity.

1-3 years of telecommunications experience.

Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of RF, digital transport, fibre optics, and IP Networking (TCP/IP) required.

Knowledge of Cellular technologies (GSM, UMTS, LTE)

Microwave and Transmission experience a must (e.g. IP, DS1, DS3,)

Hands on experience implementing network infrastructure

Experience with Windows Servers and VMware

Potential to join our global client on a permanent basis after a successfully completed 6-month contract

Possess a strong understanding of wireless/wired networking administration principles
