Experience working with resource management or environmental stewardship sectors.

Degree or Diploma in natural resources management or related field.

Ability to interpret, apply, inspect and enforce legislation and policies relating to natural resource management.

Experience interpreting or applying documents such as legislation, policies or procedures.

Experience working with or for First Nations communities, governments, non-government organizations or industry would be considered an asset.

Experience with monitoring, inspecting or assessing environmental-industrial activities and preparing reports of findings would be considered an asset.

3+ years’ experience performing field work safely and efficiently throughout interior BC.

Field experience in wildlife sweeps, surveys, watercourse, and wetland assessments an asset.

Field experience assessing hazard trees, danger trees, or patrolling and consenting on utility lines an asset.

Preferred experience in stakeholder engagement, third party agreements, indigenous consultation.

Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.

Technical, mathematical, scientific, and computer skills including Microsoft office products, ESRI GIS, & GPS.

• 2-5 years of practical experience in Lands and Natural Resource Management.

• Project management skills, ability to multi-task, and work under tight timelines.

• Knowledge and experience in business strategy and grant writing.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Support the development of funding applications and reporting requirements.

• Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Supporting application deployment and management in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).

Excellent architectural and code organization skills

Working or scientific experience with NLP and ML

5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, working in OOP and ORM environments

Experience with application deployment to any of the major cloud services

Experience with FastAPI is a plus

Manages gas supply and demand balances for the defined region, delivering reliable supply and mitigating supply disruptions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Awareness of natural gas scheduling, or similar operational commodity experience

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Proven written and verbal communication skills

Skilled in interacting and influencing across a wide range of professional teams
