Natural Language Processing Engineer

We are looking for a passionate NLP engineer to help us build world-class, cutting-edge NLP-based software solutions. This job is all about designing and implementing smart algorithms to support NLP-based workflows. You will be working with the latest advancements in NLP and ML while playing a central role in developing solutions to support our AI products.

This is an exceptional opportunity to directly impact our clients while gaining valuable hands-on experience working with Data Models, Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and more.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this role you will use your ingenuity to design, model, and develop (in Python) some amazing software components for NLP and ML. In addition, you will:

• Use best practices for Git-based version control.
• Provide continuous support to junior developers and troubleshoot development roadblocks.
• Brainstorm technical solutions and architecture.
• Establish an efficient CI/CD workflow with end-to-end testing.
• Supporting application deployment and management in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
• Work on the backend of a web application in Python.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Experience with application deployment to any of the major cloud services
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python, working in OOP and ORM environments
• A strong communicator
• Working or scientific experience with NLP and ML
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Excellent architectural and code organization skills

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Reliability Clearance (or eligible for it) - have been in Canada for 5+ Years (as a PR or Citizen)
• Experience with FastAPI is a plus
• Familiarity with front-end technologies and single-page applications (Vue.js is a plus)
• Experience with LLM
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
