Millwrights must be knowledgeable in the use of a variety of tools and machines, including welding and cutting equipment, lathes, and milling machines. They must also be able to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams. Millwrights must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to lift heavy objects. They must also be able to work in confined spaces and in hazardous environments.
