Metrolinx Assistant Track Supervisor Jobs

Previous or current CROR qualification (preferred);

2 years of experience operating on-off track heavy equipment in a railway (or similar) environment;

Operating experience with track component replacement (rail, ties etc), brush cutting, material handling, ditching activities, etc;

Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures;

Good understanding in track standards and track safety requirements (asset);

Willingness and ability to train less experienced operators;

Excellent written and verbal skills

Minimum of 3years work experience as Track Maintainer;

Good understanding in track standards and track safety requirements;

Experience in track inspection procedures, track construction and track maintenance/repair work;

Thermite welding qualification is an asset;

At least 3 years of railway signals maintenance experience in a high-density CTC environment

Extensive knowledge of S&C Standard Code of Practice and General Instructions

Thorough knowledge of the CTC Signal System and locking circuits/logic

Experience with test methodologies required when replacing vital components in a signal system

Experience carrying out signal commissioning tests as per approved test plans

Knowledgeable on when and how to use local controls at field locations

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of test equipment like RF Service Monitor, Power Meter, Antenna Checker, etc.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience on RF cable repairs.

At least 4 years of railway signals maintenance experience in a high-density CTC environment

Good knowledge of S&C Standard Code of Practice and General Instructions

Demonstrated knowledge of CTC Signal Systems

Knowledge on how to download and analyze equipment logs.

Minimum of 2 years of management experience in the field of railway maintenance operations (Assistant Track Supervisor, Road Master, etc.);

Strong Leadership and Management Skills;

Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of all inspection, maintenance and repair activities;

Ensure that all necessary inspections and testing are performed as per requirements;

Ensure that reporting is completed (including Key Performance Indicators’) as per Maintenance Plans and customer requirements;

A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a certified Track Foreman;
