Ability to apply knowledge of theory and practice to a case management process.

Minimum five (5) years recent clinical experience in a position included in this portfolio

Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work

Proven and highly developed leadership skills including vision, self-awareness, relationship and team building skills, and communication skills

Bachelors Degree from a health related discipline

As a Manager, Mental Health & Addictions with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

Perform other related duties as assigned

Three (3) years’ experience working with preschool, school age, and adolescent children with neurodevelopmental disorders providing behavioral based interventions

Demonstrated experience and ability to provide functional behavioral assessments

Demonstrated ability to provide psychoeducation for problems commonly associated with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Demonstrated knowledge of evidence based standards and practices for behavioral intervention for children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental disorders

Participates in multi-disciplinary team conferences and participates in the overall development of the clients’ treatment plans

Facilitates the monitoring of outcomes relevant to the treatment goals.

Grade 12 plus one-year related experience or graduate of recognized one-year related business/clerical program

Demonstrated knowledge of STAR, PHS and Time Capture is preferred

Mental Health experience is preferred

Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs preferred

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum two years’ recent experience in a responsible secretarial position in a health-related field

Accurate keyboarding skills with a minimum speed of 45 wpm with a maximum five (5) percent error rate

Superior organizational, communication (listening, oral and written) and interpersonal skills

Ability to be flexible in adapting to changing operational requirements

A skill test may be included as part of the selection process

Grade 12 plus successful completion of a recognized secretarial program and a medical terminology course

One year of Occupational Therapy experience with clients in an Addiction & Mental Health setting an asset

Experience working in a community-based setting.

Demonstrated working knowledge of community-based population health approach.

Knowledge of appropriate assessment tools for clients in an Addiction & Mental Health setting.

Minimum of two years' clinical experience required working in the field of Mental Health & Addictions

Demonstrated knowledge of time-limited evidence based psychological assessments and treatments for Mental Disorders and Substance Use Disorders, and commitment to same

Demonstrated knowledge of Stepped Care principles and clinical care pathways, and commitment to same

Demonstrated knowledge of clinical supervision, learning and professional development, and commitment to same

Demonstrated knowledge in providing culturally informed, non-judgmental patient and family centre care, and commitment to same

Successful completion of Masters in Psychology

Demonstrated excellent organizational, planning, follow-through and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and accurately handle multiple priorities.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an administrative support position.

Experience operating office equipment, including fax machine and multi-functional unit (MFU).

Demonstrated spelling and grammar skills and ability to edit and proofread, with attention to detail.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to work as a team member and ability to foster collaborative relationships.

Excellent critical thinking and conflict-resolution skills.

Must have excellent report writing and presentation skills, presenting results in a meaningful manner specific to the target audience

Judgment and decision-making skills demonstrated through analysis and synthesis, problem solving, systems thinking and emotional intelligence.

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in individual/ group cognitive behavioral therapy as well as psycho educational groups.

Two years’ related experience required (including assessment and planning, treatment and intervention and discharge planning).

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of standard criteria used (DSM V) for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders.

Experience in interviewing, counseling and teaching health concepts to individuals, families and groups.

Knowledge of the principles of recovery in mental illness.

Knowledge of mental health, substance abuse and addiction disorders and treatment.
