Medical Governance Associate — Intern Jobs

Support maintenance of an effective Compliance Management System (CMS) meeting all internal and external compliance requirements.

Support maintenance of a Vendor Management Program in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

Support the operation of the Corporate Governance Framework: policies & procedures oversight, and committee management.

Support regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting to local management and central functions.

Manage and update the Compliance pages for the Associate Intranet.

This position may take on additional duties and responsibilities, should the need arises.

Excellent time-management skills, to ensure assignments are appropriately completed on time in the face of varying deadlines.

Researching legal inquiries, compliance & regulatory requirements, and business process improvement initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or a related field), and/or a Law Clerk Certificate/Diploma.

Minimum of 2+ years of experience working in a similar capacity.

General knowledge of legal, regulatory, and compliance terminology, procedures, and statutes.

Experience in preparing and filing compliance, regulatory, and/or corporate administration filings would be considered an asset.

Demonstrated current knowledge of assessment and management in a broad range of disease processes related to infants, children, and youth.

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

Knowledge and expertise around the various community resources and discharge planning processes to transition patients home or for further care.

Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, communication, and coaching skills to work with the team, patients, and families.

Excellent decision making, problem recognition and problem solving skills.

Current certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.

Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills

Prior experience conducting ESG analysis at a pension fund or asset manager is an asset

No previous work experience is required

Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs

Strong oral and written communication skills

Prepares the Investment Memos for GM/ Director meetings and the Investment Advisory Committee meetings.

Advance other projects to support Medical Affairs activities (i.e., issue management, special projects, literature search, formulary submission, etc).

Clear and concise, verbal and written communication skills. Well developed communication skills including listening, summarizing, probing, clarifying

Strong computer skills to work with various databases and MS Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Contribute to the development and advancement of Medical deliverables by providing scientific support for therapy area products

Participate on cross-functional therapy area teams, as appropriate, to identify local data gaps.

Strategically monitor new literature and GSK global publications strategy and ensure timely alerts and internal stakeholder communications

Solid, demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), Bloomberg, DisclosureNet, Thomson Reuters Eikon, Enterprise Content Management

Conduct vulnerability analysis of both management nominees and dissident nominees for contested or potentially contested election of directors

Experienced team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to liaison with clients, colleagues, management, and senior leaders within any organization

Develop industry-leading intellectual capital and knowledge database on executive compensation, corporate governance, and E&S topics

Review and develop knowledge of the materials for each event in which the department is involved

Enrolled in a Bachelor of Commerce, with a focus in Finance or Accounting

Support members of the Valuation Governance team with the planning and execution of the quarterly valuation process

Update and analyze comparable company multiples and metrics

Assist with the preparation of summary memorandum

Perform any other duties, as required

Pursuit of professional designations (CFA, CBV, CPA, CA), an asset

Strong presentation and communication skills and attention to detail

Experience conducting online research, filtering, organising and summarising large amounts of information

Experience with research and technical report writing, including data visualisation

Proficient knowledge of analytic tools such as Python, Matlab or Excel

in overseeing the company’s daily operations, offering critical support across the business

Taking meeting minutes and organising follow ups
