Meat Cutter Clerk Pt Jobs in Manitoba

Graduate of High school; post-secondary education is considered an asset

Two (2) years verifiable experience as a Butcher/Meat Cutter

Previous industrial / manufacturing plant experience is considered an asset

Experience working with and committed to Good Manufacturing Practices is an asset

Experience in food manufacturing within a fast-paced environment is an asset

Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and be focused on continuous improvement

Monitor and manage inventory levels, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and place orders with suppliers.

Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering recommendations on cuts and cooking methods.

Cut, trim, and portion meat products according to customer requests or standard cuts.

Remove excess fat, bones, and connective tissue to ensure the desired meat cuts are visually appealing and consumer-ready.

Accurately weigh, package, and label meat cuts, adhering to packaging guidelines and ensuring proper product presentation.

Perform deboning and specialty cuts as per customer requests or industry standards.

Assist Meat Manager/ Clerk Department Second Meat if applicable

Full knowledge of department operations and skills

Provide technical training to new staff and clerks

Minimum 12 months of experience

Provide customer service to meet customer needs

Merchandise meat area if applicable

Provide great customer service by ensuring the store shelves are stocked and by responding to customer needs

Maintain and stock product displays and shelves that meet company standards

Ensure accurate product scanning and identify inventory needs and assist with ordering

Setup company-directed promotions and programs

Keep department areas neat and ensure health and safety standards
