Oversee and manage payroll and benefits operations and provide leadership and training to the team.

3+ years experience with benefit administration.

Serve as subject matter expert to resolve payroll and benefit-related inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionally.

Communicate benefits information to employees, address queries and provide guidance on enrollment processes.

Monitor benefits utilization and trends and provide recommendations for improvements and updates.

PCP or PLP Certification with the National Payroll Institute.

Uses broad knowledge and experience in human resources, payroll and benefits practices and related business processes

Manages the reconciliation of payroll accounts with general ledger and other management reporting systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles including internal control and audit requirements as well as legislation, regulations, practices and guidelines.

Manages all GL and other downstream interfaces.

Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.

5 years of progressive, directly related experience managing a payroll/benefits team and administering and managing payroll/benefits in a unionized environment.

A combination of education and experience will be considered.

Manager Of Payroll And Benefits (Regular Full-Time)

Oversee all aspects of payroll processing, planning, reporting and administration of employee benefits.

Perform and review all year-end procedures and reporting, including statutory reporting in accordance with provincial and federal requirements.

Implement and review required payroll system changes, earnings and deduction codes, and benefit related reconciliation reports.
