Maintenance Mechanic “B” Jobs in British Columbia

The candidate should hold minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical theory.

Well versed with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

The candidate shall be able to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.

Shall be familiar with repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic components to keep equipment running efficiently.

The candidate should be able to Identify, plan, and implement improvements to machinery to increase productivity and improve quality.

Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements

3-5 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience

Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions

Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment

Examine machine controls to install plate changeovers and start up machines for production needs when required

Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery

Management of staff workloads and projects.

Power Engineering certification, Engineering Technologist, provincial trade certification of qualification, or related diploma/degree/certification are an asset;

3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance and operations;

Demonstrated capabilities re: accountability, judgement, decision-making, problem solving, etc.;

Provide coordination, instruction and guidance to Building Operators and other classifications/trades.

Respond to client requests and emergencies.
