60 hours per week. Most shifts start at 7:00 am but hours may vary based on site requirements

Exposure to machining practices, experience with Metrology, SPC, knowledge of measuring techniques, gauging and inspection equipment.

Operate the CMM and basic knowledge of programming.

Extensive plate, structural, and miscellaneous welding experience whether it be a small or large project

Excellent communication skills, can-do attitude, collaborative skills, ability to follow directions and have attention to detail

Must have previous welding experience in an industrial setting

Read & interpret blueprints or welding process specifications for structural steel without supervision

Join, Faricate, Repair meal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate techniques using various welding devices

Welds parts, and may also build up worn parts by welding layers of high-strength hard-metal alloys onto them

Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.

Follow all requirements according to the Canada Grain Act and Canada Grain regulations.

1 – 3 years of experience in a laboratory or Agricultural setting is an asset

Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.

Log-in, organizing, storing, distribution, and disposing of incoming samples and after final inspections

General experience and knowledge in earthworks, geotechnical, formwork and concrete, super-structural steel, architectural, and/or infrastructure would be considered an asset.

Ensuring Code and client specification requirements are implemented and completed on site.

Competent knowledge of NDE processes as well as ASME B31.3and CSA Codes

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Related experience in Industrial Mechanical Construction and Quality Control

Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Tests product for density, cracks and stability in accordance to qualifications. Performs retesting after the repairs have been made.

Assists the Quality Control Manager.

3-5 years’ experience as a QC Inspector or NDT Technician.

Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) Level 2 Welding Inspector certification.

Equivalent industry experience combined with other formal training and accreditations may be accepted.

Complies with the quality standard set by Applus and its clients.

Working knowledge of Region of Peel Standards and Specifications with ability to comply with these requirements

Proficient computer skills using MS Office Suite, with experience with Hansen preferred

Post-Secondary education in a related field

Ability to multitask using well-developed technical/professional skills

Polished written and oral communication skills

Well versed knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
