Lead Manufacturing Engineering Jobs in Nova Scotia

Responsible to develop and control work instructions and procedures for the assembly and test of equipment.

Responsible to implement Customer and internally generated changes using the Engineering Change Process.

Responsible for setup and maintenance of bills of materials within ERP system

Responsible to plan and implement new production areas with emphasis on lean manufacturing practices.

Responsible to lead continuous improvement teams and/or Kaizen events

Responsible to investigate assembly and manufacturing related problems and ensure the problem is resolved.

Strong project management skills related to leading equipment installation and refurbishment

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other technical degree, or comparable education with additional experience is required

Execute capital investment projects and manage all aspects of implementation (i.e. budget, schedule, install, commissioning and buy-off)

Strong documentation, organizational & project management skills

Some product design and CAD design experience, proficiency in mechanical drafting

Drawing creation, update, review, release, etc. from rough concepts up to detail/final drawings considering tolerance/fits, GD&T, and MSM/Customer specifications.

Experience in planning and execution of significant projects utilizing formal project management and operations methodology.

Manage the relationship with the OEM.

Manages the performance and development of all direct reports. In conjunction with the Human Resources

Provides team support for commissioning and qualification planning and execution when needed

7 to 10 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

Leadership capabilities, communication, issue resolution, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Review and verify design calculations, technical specifications, and engineering drawings in accordance with applicable requirements, codes, and standards.

Specify technical and design requirements, as well as requirements for commissioning, installation, etc.

4+ years of experience in a design engineering role is considered an asset.

Working knowledge of nuclear plant equipment and systems, design basis, and nuclear safety principles is considered an asset.

Working knowledge of the nuclear engineering change/modification process considered an asset.

You have a good knowledge of engineering design, development, certification and manufacturing processes and the requirements used in the aerospace industry.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas are highly desirable:

Present project status updates to the management team and externally to various stake holders.

You have at least 4 years of experience managing TCCA certification projects to obtain STC and PDA/RDA approvals.

The primary job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Undertake and manage the engineering activities within the MBA business.

Uses expertise in specialty, consultative, solution development skills to align the client's business needs with solution.

College/University Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.

Minimum 3 years direct experience in manufacturing and process development (i.e. assembly processes) and/or automation controls systems,

Ability to read CAD files and working knowledge of GD&T

Experience with SolidWorks is an asset
