Full software development cycle experience

Design and development of firmware for new products

Supporting Design Engineers in development of the product designs.

Embedded/firmware design and development in C or C++

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint

Minimum of 5 years in substation protection / communications, or advanced degree qualification, in lieu of less experience.

Experience with numerical protection and control devices and Ethernet network equipment.

Knowledge of cyber security concepts and standards will be an advantage.

Technical writing skills to generate clear, precise documentation including application notes and similar guides for internal and customer-facing audiences.

Strong academic and technical background in electrical engineering. At minimum, a Bachelor’s in EE is required, Master’s is preferred.

Experience in RDBMS systems, application servers, troubleshooting and debug tools

5+ years of experience in a technical customer support or sales role, or related industry experience

Develop and manage embedded software for embedded Linux controllers and microcontrollers

Manage updates, bug-fixes, software testing, and Git repositories for new hardware and software releases

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in embedded software development

Good programming skills with OOP languages such as C, C++, Python and automation scripting

Strong interpersonal communication and professional documentation skills
