Junior Technical Support Specialist 1 Jobs

Work closely with senior technicians and management to ensure the security, confidentiality, and availability of Government IT infrastructure;

Minimum 2 years of related enterprise-level experience in the IT industry and extensive experience in supporting complex network infrastructure;

Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco-based networking environments;

Experience working with an industry standard defect management tool

2+ years of non-academic application support experience.

Working knowledge of database and SQL

Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure: Computers, mobile devices, Networks, SharePoint, Cloud

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

Fantastic written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills.

Multi-tasking skills, showcased through the use of several applications; experience working with CRM applications preferred

Basic PC keyboarding skills; basic Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) experience required

Some experience with Python, Javascript (React)

Working knowledge of databases and SQL

Knowledge and experience with WIN10 Operating System, MS Office 365, SharePoint Online, Planner, and other Microsoft tools

1-2 years experience working in a Technical Administrative capacity

Hands-on experience with computer hardware

Experience with VMware is considered an asset

Programming skills are considered an asset (Python, C#, html, etc.)

Excellent communication, organizational and inter-personal skills and

Experience with helpdesk software and remote support tools.

1 to 3 years of experience in a first line support role.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Basic knowledge of networking and internet protocols.

ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
