THE ROLE: Data Scientist Entry level

Conduct A/B testing to optimize customer lifetime value (CLV) and reduce churn rate.

Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain, and improve upon multiple real-time decision systems.

Analyze large data sets using advanced Excel, SQL, and Python, identifying trends and informing business strategies.

Review competitive products and trade publications and prepare reports on comparative tests, raw material information, and educational scopes.

Manage daily laboratory operations and production schedules.

Experience developing personal care formulations of at least 5 years

Experience working in a GMP environment.

Formulate new products from raw materials including powder, liquid, and gel to meet client needs and deadlines.

Optimize formulated ingredients to meet cost objectives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to convey specialized technical knowledge to non-experts.

MSc with 3-5 years of ag formulations experience; or BSc with 5-8 years of ag formulations experience.

Experience in formulating biopesticides or biological materials is highly desired.

Experience in encapsulation technology is highly desired.

Develop and implement Terramera’s Formulation Solution Platform consistent with approved business cases for given active ingredients and product concepts.

Formulate a range of biopesticide actives and inert ingredients and conduct physico-chemical characterization and stability studies

Knowledge of optimization and predictive modeling techniques and experience applying them to real-world problems.

Minimum 2 Years Of Experience Required - Remote Position.

Partner with engineers, product managers, and business partners to identify algorithmic problems, brainstorm possible approaches, and recommend the best path forward.

Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize projects and define requirements.

Greenhouse gas quantification and management;

Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or Energy Management, or Sciences;

0-5 years of experience in environmental consulting, in particular air quality, greenhouse gas, decarbonization and sustainability fields;

Meteorological model preparation and dispersion modelling;

Assisting on multi-disciplinary projects with data analysis and reporting;

Working knowledge and consistent execution of formulation development, excipient compatibility assessment, data analysis and good documentation practices

Maintain compliance with training, best practices, safety, and cleaning requirements and operate under and maintain GMP/GLP conditions.

Minimum 1+ years of experience in a formulation’s role in a lab setting is preferred.

Experience working in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility is asset.

Requires experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.

2 - 6 years of experience in industrial formulation of biopharmaceuticals.

Hands-on experience and deep understanding of drying process development and lyophilized products in different packaging systems.

Working knowledge in Design of Experiments and statistical principles.

Manages time effectively demonstrating ability to perform multiple projects at one time

Assists in the day-to-day management of the lab including ordering, shipping and receiving, inventory management and maintaining a safe lab environment

Experience in the preparation and characterization of nanoparticle formulations is an asset.

Hands-on experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as ELISA, gel electrophoresis, qPCR, western blotting, etc. is an asset.

Experience in analytical assays, strong analytical and troubleshooting capability.

Demonstrated experience in acoustic and other oceanographic data analytics, field work and related activities (1+ years or equivalent)

Support the collection, organization and analysis of oceanographic, meteorological, and other maritime data

Experience working in a fintech or finance/banking institutions is nice to have but not required

0-2 years experience with building and deploying ML models into production especially in the area of unsecured personal lending

Strong development experience with Python is a must along with ML libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit learn, TensorFlow)

Collaborate with the biology team, senior management, informatics team, and partners to analyze data and derive insights.

Experience in analyzing scRNA-seq data.

Design, implement, and optimize computational pipelines for analyzing large-scale single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) datasets.

Communicate results and findings to the team and partners through clear, concise, and visually appealing presentations and reports.

Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong focus on single-cell RNA-seq data analysis.

Proficiency in Python programming language.

Assists in weekly management of in vivo research including ordering, tracking and study logistics.
