Intermediate Structural Engineer Or Technician Jobs

Acting as a design engineer on a variety of building projects of various sizes and complexity

Following through all phases of projects from concept design through construction

Being driven to provide the highest technical quality in the delivery of designs, drawings, specifications, and in the field

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Overall Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

Liaise with clients to determine client requirements and prepare proposals, design work cost estimate, and project scheduling.

5-10 years prior experience in marine structural engineering/research, or a related discipline.

Experience in large scale industrial and maritime projects.

Port layout and planning experience is preferred.

Excellent communication skills and ability to share information with the team and management in English.

Basic understanding of project management in construction, design, production, and/or manufacturing.

Intermediate Project Manager: $30 - $45 / hr (based on experience)

0 - 5 years experience in related work (Junior).

3 - 10 years experience in related work (Intermediate).

Knowledge and experience in the application of the ASME Code to Nuclear class component design and stress analysis of degraded components.

Knowledge and experience in the application of CSA S16 and / or AISC manual for design of steel structures.

Manage timely completion of tasks per plan without direct supervision.

Experience with design of structural anchorage to concrete in accordance with CSA A23.3 standard.

Experience related to Nuclear Power plants.

The following qualifications, experience and skills are required:

Proactively advance design and modelling techniques to support designers, project managers and technicians;

Support project/client managers in establishing appropriate timelines for deliverables and work with design teams, throughout the offices;

Experience with reviewing structural damage and report preparation for litigation and insurance claims is an asset; and

A minimum of 5 years related work experience
