Prepare or assist with permit applications, restoration and remediation assessments, and reclamation monitoring and site management plans

5 + years’ experience in reclamation work

Work experience within the upstream oil and gas industry and/or mine reclamation an asset

Strong time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a strong commitment to safety excellence

Manage and maintain the C&R timber and soils models for closure and reclamation planning

Experience in mine reclamation and/or closure planning, scheduling, costing and reporting

Develop C&R plans involving stockpile locations, soil placement strategies, maps, material balances, reports, and presentations to various audiences

Calculate and communicate C&R plan budgets and costing forecasts for short-, mid- and long-range plans

Experience or interest in mine water management, contaminant fate and transport, environmental risk assessment, land reclamation, and/or land use planning

Demonstrated project management and business development success

Authored and presented technical work on contaminated site remediation, mine waste management, or mine closure & reclamation.

10 or more years of relevant work experience

Excellent communication and technical report writing skills

Experience or interest in physical and chemical stabilization of mine rock stockpiles, tailings, and other mine land disturbances

A post-secondary education in environmental science, civil engineering, structural engineering, building science or a related discipline

Quantity take-off and/or estimating experience is advantageous

Experience in all stages of the project life-cycle, from preparing bids, field work oversite, to data analysis and reporting

Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely

Demolition & Closure Project Manager

Support the team working on a diverse range of clients and engineering projects including, demolition and site closure projects

Minimum 6 years of site reclamation experience, preferably in British Columbia.

Possess strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and technical writing skills.

Provide technical expertise for reclamation programs.

Collaborating with team to execute reclamation projects in NE BC.

Working directly with clients to help meet their reclamation objectives.

Create Reclamation work plans and Reclamation reporting/review as a professional.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the mining industry.

• Participation in a remote team environment, working closely with Falkirk’s Senior staff and Project Managers.

• Environmental Management plan writing and execution.

• Liability Cost Estimation experience beneficial.

• Health and Safety experience in preparing for and conducting site visits and field work.

• Ability to mentor staff in skill sets related to reclamation and research.
