Good project and time management skills, experience in handling multiple projects

Knowledge and experience with variety of manufacturing processes and materials (ie sheet metal, plastic, glass, wood)

Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma or equivalent experience

2-4 years engineering experience in a product design and manufacturing environment

Hands-on experience with prototype and model making

Very good communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills

Familiarity and experience with CAD Software such as: Autodesk, Fusion 360, Solidworks etc.

Experience with SLA and DLP Resin Printing is an asset

Experience with product design and manufacturing

Experience in sheet metal fabrication

Strong organization skills, able to handle multiple projects

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; working collaboratively with others and communicating goals and objectives during self-directed and independent work

o Effective communication and reporting skills for meetings with management to keep them informed of important developments

o Excellent coordination skills to enable cooperation between technical staff and management

o Strong sense of time management, scheduling time for various projects

o Collaborate with sales team and project managers

o Previous experience as a manufacturing industry engineer, industrial designer or similar role

o Thorough knowledge of how production lines and other manufacturing processes operate along with fabrication methods

·Strong cross-functional, project management capabilities

·Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate requirements and work cross-functionally in a dispersed work environment

·Post-secondary education in a related field of design

·Previous experience in an industrial designer role is an asset

·Advanced experience with Office (excel, word) and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

·Experience managing multiple work streams in a dynamic global environment across multiple seasons
