Location: 315 Front St. West, Toronto, ON (3 days onsite, 2 days remote - hybrid role)

-Azure Data Factory (expert knowledge) to maintain pipeline from Oracle to Azure Data Lake

-Azure Databricks/Python/SQL (good SQL knowledge required) to develop and/or troubleshoot transformations of curated data into datamart model

Understand the requirements. Recommend changes to the physical model.

Experience of 7+ years of working with SQL Server, SSIS, and T-SQL development or similar

Experience of 2+ years of working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Python development

Significant experience using ETL tools such as SAS Data Management or Informatica to transform large data sets across different DBMS platforms.

Expert level SQL skills to aggregate, filter and analyze large data sets on a variety of DBMS.

Experience using SAS products such as Enterprise Guide and Data Integration studio.

Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to translate ambiguous requirements into efficient code to deliver expected results.

Experience reading and understanding business documents (SRS, BRD).

Strong verbal and written communication skills is required.

Applied data management experience (Data & Analytics education an asset)

Experience in Power BI, Tableau, SQL and Python an asset.

Working knowledge of Azure cloud technologies (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, etc.)

Excellent communication and presentation skills and strong organization skills

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent SQL skills and experience with writing and troubleshooting complex T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures

Use your T-SQL skills to extract and manipulate data to support data analysis and reporting

Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in BI and recommend solutions to improve the organization's BI capabilities.

5+ years of experience in a Power BI/Tableau Developer, or similar data-related role, developing sophisticated solutions and uncovering actionable insights

• Proven experience working with MDM software, data management, data quality, data governance

• Project Management experience would be an asset

• Design and develop business criteria reports by leveraging deep ETL skills and database knowledge.

• 8+ years of experience in software industry; strong knowledge of database design, and data warehouse technologies

• Scripting experience in Perl, Powershell or Python

• Hands on experience on .NET C#

Possess a university degree in computer science or an approved equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience in data visualization, analysis, or related fields.

Showcase excellent visual skills, including a solid understanding of design principles such as layout, typography, color, interaction design, and fluency.

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or equivalent software is advantageous.

Experience in designing and developing dynamic dashboards and visual reports using platforms like Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.

Utilize SQL and Python for data analysis and processing.

Knowledge and experience using shared folders and working with collaborations tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint

Assist with gathering business and information requirements

Provide supporting documentation and knowledge transfer to Client/Ministry/Organization as required

5 years of experience in Business Intelligence

Experience with information technologies such as servers, storage, networks, operating systems, database technologies, security technologies, development tools, and programming languages

Experience with low code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform

Full project management and development life cycle experience

5+ years of experience developing Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions

Strong experience with Alteryx and Azure Synapse to perform data transformation, data integration, and data preparation

Experience with DAX and M formula languages in Power BI to create complex calculations and data models

Experience with Power Query to connect to various data sources, transform data, and load data into Power BI

Strong SQL skills to write complex queries, optimize data retrieval, and troubleshoot data issues
