SUMMARY OF JOB

The Ataccama MDM Developer will support the continual development of an enterprise-wide BI function, including building out the architecture, tools, and processes to report on business performance. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in writing code to deliver high-quality reports in a complex environment. It will also be vital for the candidate to bridge the technical world of data warehousing with the needs of the business by acting as an internal consultant to help answer challenging questions using their data expertise and technical know-how.

This role will report to the Director of Customer and Billing and will partner with our architecture team and business analyst teams to develop data based solutions in accordance with organizational priorities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Design and develop business criteria reports by leveraging deep ETL skills and database knowledge.

• Work with business for deep dive analysis of existing reports.

• Support architectural decisions and tool selection.

Required Skills:

• A strong Ataccama MDM developer who thinks about issues from a business perspective with demonstrated ability to develop value added reports

• Experience to data management disciplines such as data quality, data governance, MDM, ETL, data migrations, BI, reporting and cloud ecosystems

• Ability to work with business group leadership to provide analytical insight

• Ability to implement best practices for software development and operations

• Solid knowledge in business intelligence, web analytics, report development and working knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling and data mining

• Deep skills in at least one of the following ETL tools: Integration Services of Microsoft SQL Server (aka SSIS), SSRS, Power BI, SAP BusinessObjects Data Integrator (earlier versions known as BusinessObjects Data Integrator), IBM WebSphere DataStage, Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle Data Integrator. Also, deep knowledge on Query Optimization.

• Scripting experience in Perl, Powershell or Python

• Will need to have source and target experience with two of the following databases: SQL Server, MySql, Sybase or IBM DB2

• Hands on experience on .NET C#

• Nice to have: JAVA, DBA skills, AZURE

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required Experience:

• University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science related subject

• 8+ years of experience in software industry; strong knowledge of database design, and data warehouse technologies

• Proven experience working with MDM software, data management, data quality, data governance

• Experience in coding T-SQL, complex stored procedures, functions, and views (We are looking for somebody that will assist with development across the entire Microsoft SQL stack)

• Strong knowledge of relational & non-relational database concepts

• Experience in fine-tuning procedures, indexes for performance improvement

• Proficient, C#, .Net, and legacy platforms

• Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and ability to design software systems at an abstract/conceptual level as well as at a detailed level

• Strong skills in troubleshooting and designing software systems to support back-office applications (e.g. Billing, Finance, CRM, etc.)

• Project Management experience would be an asset

• Good written & spoken English communication skills
