Hydro Engineer Jobs

Knowledge of the Utility Industry and associated management requirements considered an asset.

Minimum of ten (10) years' experience at a comparable level in a people management/leadership role.

University degree in Engineering, Business or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

Knowledge and experience with budgeting and financial review.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience writing business/technical reports. Good presentation skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead, manage, mentor, and motivate staff.

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the hydropower industry

FAR Contract and US Government project management experience

The ability to manage dispersed teams (matrix) in remote work environments over several different time zones

Successfully manage profitable Hydro Service projects, driving quality, cost, and schedule strategies in compliance with the contract and GE standards

Manage GE’s Hydro Transactional Service deal strategy/proposal, and project execution in the region. Be accountable for deal/project success.

Assists in inventory management, control and related systems development.

Provide Manager, Operations with data and project analysis.

Assists in the acquisition of required safety / experience documentation from subcontractors.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Education including Civil or Construction Technologist/Technician.

Experience in the utility construction industry.

You are Conversant with design, qualification and certification test requirements of Hydro-Mechanical systems

You possess strong integration skills, in both system partner management and system technical integration

You are Familiar with Part 25 certification requirements and advisory material.

Review functional test requirements and ensure translation into mature functional tests

You have experience in providing engineering support to a Final Line/ Production

You have 8-15 years’ experience in aircraft Hydro-Mechanical systems (Fly-By-Wire & Control Surfaces, Wing High Lift, Hydraulics, Landing Gear, Brakes, etc)
