Masters or Honours degree in planning or a related field plus expert knowledge and further specialization in planning.

Minimum of five years of experience in a planning position or related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Knowledge and understanding of Provincial, GTA, Regional, and local planning issues.

Well-developed policy formulation, communications, analytical, problem-solving and computer skills are required.

A Master’s Degree in a related field with several years of related experience.

Monitoring program budgets and operational efficiency and providing advice regarding budgets, policy, and procedures to the Director.

Responsible for providing management of the housing and homelessness teams in the Program Manager’s Absence

Manage and oversee the Emergency Housing Program including contract compliance with all vendors supporting the program

Facilitate the operations and delivery of the Service Manager housing and homelessness directly delivered programs including oversight of the staff

Two years of direct related experience in the housing or homelessness sector, in a supervisory role or systems support position preferred

Superior analytical and problem solving abilities

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Operational oversight and training of program staff, including hiring and performance management of program and team.

Participate in Unit and overall WoodGreen management meetings for the purpose of ensuring coordinated and integrative programming, and resource sharing.

Participate in the Unit’s management team, contributing to the development of the Unit’s Strategic Priorities and Annual Work plan deliverables.

Bachelor Degree in relevant field with a combination of education and experience in managing staff and interagency or similar partnerships.

Familiarity with funding, budgets, and financial management.

Manage staff through coaching, training, supervision and performance reviews in order to build a cohesive, collaborative and effective team.

Property management experience including lease administration, rent collection, and unit turnover management.

Facilitate intake management; background checks, generate leases, and orientation.

Facilitate, support, and encourage engagement of tenants in the ongoing management of their building and participation in tenant community.

Knowledge and experience working with women who have experienced violence, addictions, abuse and/or homelessness.

Experience in conflict resolution, crisis response, intervention, de-escalation, advocacy, and negotiation skills.

Collect rent, establish payment schedules to manage any arrears, and follow up LTB Notices.
