Hardware Systems Design Engineer Jobs

Develop and manage key program documentation and verification structures (requirements, ICDs, ConOps).

Experience with qualification and acceptance testing of new designs.

5+ years of relevant experience within a systems engineering environment.

Hands-on environmental testing (vibration, thermal, shock or thermal vacuum) or electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing experience.

Ability to read and decipher highly technical data, and conduct trade-offs for competing requirements.

Experience creating or using models and/or simulation software.

Experience with debugging radiated emissions and knowledge of best design practices to minimize emissions.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 5+ years of experience in the high speed digital field.

Significant experience in mid to high speed PCB design and layout, at least 10Gbps (100GbE, GDDR6, PCIe Gen+, etc..).

Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to think critically.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Lead definition and alignment of Software and Firmware requirements to implement those improvements

Prior years relevant Engineering experience focused on system engineering and Security

Programming/scripting skills including C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python

Prior experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc. 

Hands on experience with board/platform-level debugging, including delivery, sequencing, analysis, and optimization

Knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy

Computer literacy with knowledge of CAD tools (Microstation, AutoCad), Bills of Materials, (SAP), Configuration Management, Thales (ClearQuest), and Microsoft Office suite

Conduct Static, Time History and Spectral Structural Analysis to ensure that they are safe and fit for purpose.

Conduct Vibration, Dynamic and Mechanical Analysis to ensure that they are safe and fit for purpose.

Audit and check such analysis conducted by other engineers.

Updates job knowledge by studying quality management trends, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, etc.

Minimum of 5 years of work experience in design engineering in commercial trucking or a similar field.

Experience in the commercial vehicle or trucking industry required.

Experience bringing products from concept to production.

Proficient skills with Pro Engineer, Creo, Catia, SolidWorks or an equivalent 3D modeling software.

Collaborate to elaboration of electronic design in the cross-functional team including Offer Management, Industrialization, Firmware, Software, PCB and Mechanical design

Support the team in knowledge management and continuous improvement activities

Perform integration of subsystems and subassemblies in conjunction with new design, product improvement, field, production problem/resolution, and life-cycle management

Gain knowledge of HVAC systems and architecture

Functional knowledge of French and English to facilitate collaboration with our teams, clients and stakeholders at the provincial and international levels

Experience with PCB preliminary placement

• Analyzing and specifying hardware development environment (HDE), verification environment, debugging and profiling tools

• Performing electronics trade off analysis, detailed designs and evaluation

Strong skills in hardware programing such as VHDL

Experience in System C, MATLAB, C++, and Linux scripts is preferred

Develop and implement hardware design for wireless IoT applications

Conduct verification and testing of hardware designs
