Maintains supply, production, CQI and other records pertaining to the management of the Housekeeping Department.

P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.

Red Seal chef or experience with oversight of a Food operation would be an asset

Basic Housekeeping Experience or full EVS experience as an asset

Requires a minimum of 5+year’s progressive experience managing operations with financial and operational responsibility for the sites / departments

Previous management/supervisory experience of 2-3 years preferred.

Physical environment – Physical Plant Services, Grounds and Horticulture, Waste Management

Post-Secondary Diploma or undergraduate degree in hospitality management, supply chain, procurement, building operation, business, or other related fields preferred.

Relevant and equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, including on-job experience and trades certificates

Experience with Microsoft Office applications required

Five to seven years of relevant clinical experience

Experience and expertise in process planning and redesign work

Providing leadership and direction for 4.1/4.1 IMCU staff to ensure the goals and objectives are continually met

Extensive and demonstrated senior leadership experience in supervision and the progressive management of inter-professional clinical teams

Excellent communication, decision-making, problem-solving, conflict management and time management skills

Ensures effective development, implementation and management of staff schedules and secures locum relief where required with consideration of budget

Monitors and manages budget expenditures applicable to the primary care services area

Contributes to the attainment of organizational health and administrative objectives and measurements within the scope of the responsibilities of this position

Identifies staff continuing education needs, identifies opportunities for staff professional development and that professional competence standards and best practices are maintained

Implement and maintain GM agenda for labour and total quality management KPI requirements

Minimum of 2 year’s supervisory or management experience in a similar setting is required

Responsible for waste management, recycling, facilities, and custodial services to meet client demands and specifications

Ownership and accountability of operational management and financial performance of the unit

Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls and profit management

Build revenue and manage budget that includes c:ost controls for labour, supply, and inventory

Maintain all aspects of hiring and performance management of departmental staff.

Preparation and management of departmental budgets, inventory management and control, including purchase of departmental supplies and equipment.

All aspects of management of quality and quantity of services and products provided/ produced by departmental staff.

All aspects of departmental safety program management, including preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Minimum of two (2) years experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity

Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or, if there are none, prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry and maintenance, as applicable
