Overview:
A First Aid Instructor is responsible for teaching first aid and CPR courses to individuals and groups. They must be knowledgeable in all aspects of first aid and CPR, and be able to effectively communicate the information to their students. They must also be able to assess the skills of their students and provide feedback. First Aid Instructors must be certified in first aid and CPR, and may also be certified in other areas such as advanced first aid, wilderness first aid, and lifeguarding.How To Become an First Aid Instructor:
To become a First Aid Instructor, you must first obtain certification in first aid and CPR. This can be done by taking a course from a recognized organization such as the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association. Once certified, you can then apply for positions as a First Aid Instructor.First Aid Instructor Skills:
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR
• Ability to effectively communicate information
• Ability to assess student skills
• Ability to provide feedback
• Ability to work with a variety of people
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Current CPR certification
• Current first aid certification
• Current certification in advanced first aid, wilderness first aid, and/or lifeguarding (preferred)
First Aid Instructor Educations:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Certification in first aid and CPR
• Certification in advanced first aid, wilderness first aid, and/or lifeguarding (preferred)
• Continuing education courses in first aid and CPR
