Manage projects onsite throughout the duration and effectively interface and own the relationship with customers and their vendors.

Experience desired with the following:

Experience with IEDs: SEL 2032, SEL 421, 311A, 311B, 311C, 311L, 734, Bitronics, ION 7350, Qualitrol TTL 1000

Experience with test sets and software: Doble 6150, ASE 2000 Test Kit, Arbiter, Protest, RTS, Megger MPRT & EZ CT 2000

Experience with relays: SEL, GE, MICOM, AREVA, ALSTOM: Line Differential, generator protection, transformer protection

Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panel, transformers & circuit breaker change outs.

In-depth knowledge of major applicable standards including NBC, NFPA Standards, and FM Global requirements

Manage fire protection engineering for a variety of projects

Minimum of three years of relevant work experience

Implement a central depository for fire system designs and annual fire suppression testing reports

10+ years experience conducting property and casualty surveys of SME and Middlemarket risks.

Experience with contractors and builder’s risk.

-Assisting with troubleshooting and repairs of fire alarm, E-lights, Extinguishers, and suppression panels

-Assisting with testing of fire alarm systems as per ULC S536/537

-Inspection of fire extinguishers and hoses

-assisting with writing inspection and verification reports

Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, consulting experience preferred; however design experience in a Contractor environment may be considered.

Experience in fire protection system design, fire alarm system design, or related systems design.

Design fire protection systems including suppression and detection and other related systems;

Assess fire and life safety performance of new and existing building fire protection systems using applicable Codes and Standards;

Draft fire protection systems and details using AutoCAD or, alternatively, mark up design concepts using Bluebeam Revu;

Complete design calculations including using hydraulic calculation software;

Manage the day-to-day coordination and operation of the program

Seek professional development opportunities to keep current and relevant in applicable teaching areas, educational standards, industry trends, and best practices

Liaise with First Nation communities and Tribal Councils to plan for development of their community safety, firefighting and fire prevention capacity

Develop and implement community safety and fire prevention strategies with the FN communities

Assist in ensuring that the students are adhering to the specified attendance policy and academic standards

Collaborate with Bands, Tribal Councils and other agencies while strengthening linkages between SIIT and First Nations communities

Data entry, enter information from form to an excel sheet.

Move, deliver, assemble and record inventory records of tools and supplies associated with the T&I programs

Maintain inventory of tools and supplies

Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment

Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear and report damage or wear to supervisor

Perform minor administrative functions as required

Knowledge of risk management models

Graduation from an engineering/engineering technologist program or other quantitative field, related degree, or equivalent experience.

Ideally 2 years work experience. Further graduate studies and co-op experience also considered.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group

This role will produce construction drawings for fire protection/suppression, alarm systems and related equipment for industrial manufacturing and distribution facilities.

Our projects are typically integrated fast-track EPC capital projects for Fortune 500 manufacturers.

Assist the special projects restoration team with contract and construction administration, document control, and project management

Knowledge of or experience using or working with fall protection, rope access, and/or work at heights systems is an asset

Manage and maintain field equipment inventory

1 to 2 years of prior experience with a consulting firm or a testing agency is an asset.

Current Fall Protection training or rope access certification is an asset

Experience in OHSR regulation or safety consulting is an asset
