Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills

Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with Project Managers.

1-2 years' experience as a lead or Field Supervisor in construction related field

Knowledge of local, provincial and federal workplace safety compliance regulations, ordinances and legislation

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered an asset

Ensure subcontractors are compliant with responsibilities outlined in the Michels Canada subcontractor management policy.

Assume a leadership role in worker injury resolution, modified work programs, and WCB claims management and recommend solutions where necessary.

Onboard and mentor all new and existing employees with health, safety and environmental responsibilities and expectations.

Knowledgeable with the MICHELS Corporate HSE Program and the Site-Specific Safety Plan and all applicable legislation.

Ensure that project first aid and emergency response resources are in place and meet regulatory requirements.

Must have a safety certification or designation (N.C.S.OH&S, Diploma).

Undergraduate degree in kinesiology, physical education, recreation, sport management or a related field required;

Minimum of two years experience related to facility, sport, recreation and/or event management;

Experience in Recreation Management Software required

Experience in risk management and event operation is preferred

Utilizes Intelligenz to input facility bookings, manage space availability, and identify conflicts to support equitable facility allocation.

At least 2 years’ experience in facility allocation, staff supervision, and client-focused service with demonstrated increasing responsibility and accountability

Post Secondary – preferably in Engineering or Project Management

Manage direct reports through providing mentorship, guidance and constructive feedback to promote employee development

Manage new installation work in area of responsibility within framework of financial budget

Manage field technician workforce to maximize business results

Ensure each installation project meets Schindler employee and passenger safety and quality standards and all contract requirements as defined by customer

Ensure compliance with requirements issued by local and government authorities

A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills is preferred

Assist in the development and coordinate safety programs, such as safety inspection reporting, hazardous materials management, etc.

Aquire additional certifications where required to facilitate training certifications for regulated training requirements such as fall protection, etc.

Write detailed reports of safety inspections performed, safety-related violations observed, and corrective recommendations offered.

Provide training to managers and others on occupational safety issues.

Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative function is required

Implement route management strategy in support of assuring uniform application of preventative maintenance procedure while controlling manpower to minimum level

Liaise with property management representatives/building owners

People Management: Ability to select, train, supervise and evaluate staff

Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for each location under their supervision

Manage hourly field employees through providing mentorship, guidance and constructive feedback to promote employee development

Manage/support all service work in area of responsibility within framework of financial budget

Incident and case management investigations

Track certifications, tickets and qualifications of employees

Majority of the time must be spent on the shop floor and yard ensuring compliance to Alstar Safety Management System

Strong computer skills (Google suite experience is an asset)

2 years of supervisory experience

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize work

Ensure the effective implementation of the Safety Management System

Manage and administer all project reporting requirements internally and externally

Support operations and functional management in the achievement of corporate initiatives

NCSO, OHS, CRSP or other industry recognized training; and/or a combination of education and relevant experience

Ability to analyze and resolve issues/risks with skills to make recommendations based on relevant experience

Manage and perform audits worksites to ensure compliance of quality works to regulatory requirements, client specifications and the Quality Management System

Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize work

Assist to ensure the effective implementation of the Safety Management System

Assist Management in ensuring compliance at the work location

Manage and administer all project reporting requirements internally and externally

Support operations and functional management in the achievement of corporate initiatives

Ability to constructively participate and interface with all management levels and clients

Aid in the planning of high-risk production activities to ensure safety requirements have been met.

Perform data entry and assist in the compilation of data for various reports.

Provide external WCB Claims Manager with incident and return to work documentation as required.

Complete Employer report of injury on the online WCB Reporting system in partnership with the HSE Manager.

Ensure that all applicable certifications, reports, and forms required to administer an effective safety program are obtained from employees.

• Effective time management skills

• Provide Classroom training for Orientations, Customer’s Requirements and National Safety Code related courses

• 2 years supervisory experience an asset

• Knowledge of Van, Flatbed, Logging and Transportation of Dangerous Goods an asset

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledgeable and able to perform excavations. Heavy equipment operation experience.

2-4 years experience in Industrial Field Service operations (preferred). Knowledge of chemicals and background (preferred).
