RCIIS is a designated learning institute located in midtown Toronto, providing ESL education to international students.

As the Academic Director, your key responsibilities will include:

•2-3 years of classroom teaching experience at ESL schools in Canada or overseas.

•Experience in managing a team no less than 10.

•Experience with learning technology such as MS Office and Zoom.

•Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Knowledge of settlement issues and familiarity with educational resources for newcomers to Canada.

Excellent computer skills: MS office, Internet, and knowledge of on-line teaching technologies and resources.

Participate in regular supervisory sessions with the Manager of English Language Services.

Bachelor’s Degree(s) in Teaching, Adult Education or Social Science.

2 + years of experience in teaching English as a Second Language and implementing PBLA.

Experience using technology and delivering online classes and hybrid models effectively.

Superior skills in creating a dynamic, interactive classroom experience

Accept and incorporate feedback on classroom performance to ensure positive and meaningful student experience

Demonstrated team building skills in the workplace

3+ years of experience teaching ESL in a group setting

Experience with industry, international students and/ or overseas teaching experience

Experience teaching Test Preparation courses (IELTS, TOEFL and Cambridge), University Pathways courses and/or Business courses
