Equipment Safety Trainer Jobs

Change Management experience is an asset.

Experience and knowledge in construction, heavy lift and heavy haul would be an asset.

Demonstrated experience in creation, education and implementation of safety training and programs.

Strong knowledge of MS Office skills required

Educate employees and managers about good practices in occupational health and safety.

Manage and maintain the various health and safety programs including, but not limited to; Compliance Audits, Safety Meetings, Toolbox talks, etc.

Oversee experienced employees who are providing additional training (Peer Training)

Collaborate with frontline supervisors on employee training requirements.

Provide support to the business leadership group to ensure day-to-day site training requirements are met.

Prepare training modules as per legislation and company requirements.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mine production environment.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.

Carry out other duties, as requested by the Safety Training Supervisor or Manager

Strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints, and manage shifting priorities

Mastery of sales skills such as selling solutions over price

Knowledge of regulatory agencies & associated standards OSHA, ANSI, & CSA

Detail-oriented and have excellent computer & technology skills, primarily with Microsoft Suite software

Minimum 3 years practical experience operating equipment and training group sessions

Experience in a training environment (3+ years ideal)

All relevant certifications will be discussed during the interview process.

Willing to travel in the GTA
