Overview Environmental Services Assistants are responsible for providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. They are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility. They may also be responsible for transporting patients and equipment, stocking supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. Detailed Job Description Environmental Services Assistants are responsible for providing a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. They are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility. They may also be responsible for transporting patients and equipment, stocking supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation techniques
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to pass a background check
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation techniques
• Knowledge of safety protocols
• Knowledge of medical terminology
Job Experience
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Job Responsibilities
• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and other areas of the facility
• Transport patients and equipment
• Stock supplies
• Follow safety protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned
