Environmental Analyst – Noise Management Jobs

Assists management by providing information, interpretation, and clarification of compliance requirements and permit / approval conditions.

Experience with the implementation or audit of ISO Management Systems, preferably ISO 14001:2015.

Completion of a diploma in related discipline - or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent

Coordinates environmental aspects of projects with internal groups, consultants, and external agencies to meet governing / regulatory authority requirements

Environmental Professional (EP) Certification an asset.

Driving requirements – driving to facilities, stations and other workplaces, as required; requires a valid drivers’ license.

Working on Post-secondary education or with experience in, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical environmental, or similar technical field or similar

Experience with programming would be an asset.

Participate in desktop reviews of environmental and regulatory framework, as well as scientific literature to define requirements for compliance.

0 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Effective workload and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and all aspects of an assignment;

Diploma or degree in the Environmental field, Resource Management or a related discipline;

Experience working and engaging with First Nations, stakeholders, and the public (preferably involving environmental compliance);

Experience with environmental impact assessment and regulatory permitting;

Experience interpreting and working with environmental legislation, and;

Experience planning, developing, implementing and evaluating projects with respect to environmental considerations and compliance.

Strong communication skills (verbal and written) along with excellent interpersonal abilities and willingness to work in a team atmosphere;

Field measurements/data collection, including working on the roofs of buildings so working at heights is a requirement;

Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks; and

High degree of problem solving and decision making skills;

Rudimentary knowledge of AutoCAD and/or QGIS; and

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.

At least 3 years of relevant work experience in environmental data analysis, air quality regulations, or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of air quality regulations, including the Clean Air Act and other federal, state, and local regulations.
