Advanced skills in Microsoft Application including Excel and PowerPoint; social media and online learning platforms, Knowledge of ESMS, CaMs/EOIS an asset.

Certification in Crisis Intervention, First Aid, Occupational Health & Safety, Life Skills and mental health First Aid an asset.

Ensure efficient filing system, data entry, and compiling of statistics in agency and funder databases and generate reports.

Awareness of and ability to overcome employer objections to hiring persons with disabilities.

Demonstrated track record assisting persons with disabilities find, maintain and retain long term employment aligned with their career goal.

Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, presentation, community engagement, and sales skills.

1-2 years of Proven experience with return to work and/or employment focused case management services for jobseekers with disabilities

Strong computer skills including past experience working with a customer relationship management platform

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in employment counselling, social services, communications, or combination or equivalent combination of experience and education

Demonstrated experience in direct sales, job development or other related skills

Experience working with a wide variety of jobseekers from a cross-disability perspective

Demonstrated knowledge in workplace accommodation

Knowledge and experience of trauma-informed care

Experience working with young people and offering support to people experiencing barriers to employment

Support program design for continued improvement of youth experience and products using a quality improvement approach

Experience working in employment programs is an asset

Previous experience in facilitating pre-employment workshops and individual sessions for youth

Excellent organizational, written and oral communication and computer skills using Word, Excel, internet and e-mail

Demonstrated foundational knowledge of skilled trades occupations and the trades equivalency assessment process

Case manage and monitor mentoring relationships to ensure mentee/mentor goals are met

Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background, career goals etc. using Employment Intake Assessment tool

Assist clients in identifying training opportunities to develop job search skills and job search strategies

Assess need for additional assistance such as financial aid and/or further vocational training/skills upgrading and make appropriate referrals

Experience working, training or coaching adults in a technical trade is an asset

Experience with group facilitation, counselling, case management activities

Good time management, information tracking, and prioritization skills

Provide wrap-around care management support in collaboration with YSM staff to participants and maintaining customized training support plans

Related post-secondary education in social work/community service work/adult education or equivalent experience

Develop and deliver skill-based learning content for pre-employment training workshops to support participants in capacity building and job retention

Document participant activity in YSM database and paper files in accordance with YSM and funder requirements

Experience with group facilitation, counselling, case management activities

Good time management, information tracking, and prioritization skills
